Electrical – Hardware Engineer (PCB Design, Testing & Validation) – California or Singapore
About the role
We are looking for a Hardware Engineer to lead the design, testing, and validation of our electronics systems. You will own PCB layout, component selection, and bring-up, ensuring that our hardware meets performance, reliability, and compliance standards. The position is open to candidates based in California or Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Design and layout PCBs for embedded systems and high-speed digital/analog circuits.
- Select and qualify components based on performance, cost, and availability.
- Perform board bring-up, functional testing, and signal integrity validation.
- Collaborate with firmware engineers to optimize hardware–software integration.
- Prepare design documentation, schematics, and BOMs.
- Work with manufacturing partners for prototyping and production readiness.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PCB CAD tools (Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD).
- Strong understanding of signal integrity, EMI/EMC, and thermal management.
- Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for test (DFT).
- Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other lab equipment.
- Familiarity with power electronics, analog front-ends, or high-speed interfaces (Mhz to Ghz).
